I’ve always had a real passion for crafting and originally started out making jewellery as a hobby…
Branching out in 2015 with self-taught techniques, scrap pieces of wire and spare beads from my jewellery kit, I started designing my own brand of dreamcatchers and ultimately, Witchyoble was born.
As a start-up business, I knew I needed to test my products and decided that social media would be great to reach a wide audience fairly quickly, so I took photos of my designs and created a Facebook page.
Thankfully, people seemed to love my unique creations!
I decided to get a stall at a few local markets, including Bulwell, Trinity Square and Chesterfield to name a few, and attended some local events too, including Goose Fair, Pagan Pride, and the Lizian Wellbeing Event with fellow Victoria Centre market trader, Liz.
As my business grew I thought it was time for a permanent home, so last year I started trading on stall 264 at the Vic Centre Market, offering a much wider choice of jewellery designs and not forgetting my colourful dreamcatchers too!
I have big plans for the future! As well as attending more outdoor markets and events, I’m hoping to add the Jordash clothing range to my stall. I’m also planning to run workshops for people to get hands-on creating their own unique designs and I’m wanting to branch out further teaching therapy techniques too.
