When I was younger, I always used to visit Victoria Centre Market’s famous mushy pea stall – I grew up with it. When I decided to begin my own business, I noticed that it didn’t exist anymore. It was a clear gap in the market! That’s when I knew I had to bring the much-loved mushy peas back to the Vic Centre… and The Mushy Pea Stall was born.
I’ve been trading at Victoria Centre Market for nearly four years now. I used to work as a chef in my local village pub, and that’s definitely what inspired me to start my own foodie venture. I sell mushy peas, pies, faggots, seafood, tea, coffee and cold drinks, but it’s the mushy peas that are my best seller… no surprises there! I have lots of regular customers who mostly come back for the mushy peas and for the great service I provide – my relationships with these customers are what I like most about trading here.
